Last year on this very same date a Chinese company EZ2Dance produced and released a new version of Dance Station 3DDX. The game is called now Plus Dance Station 3DDX 3: D-Tech.

The machine differs little bit from the previous two versions. It red and blue panels on the platform and the hand sensor cage is red. On this cage you will also see flashing lights.

The game contains 87 songs. 15 songs are Chinese, the rest of it is Korean and the songs come from the previous two versions of 3DDX and Pump it Up.

The game has 2 difficulties for single (Easy, Hard - earlier known as pretty steps and hard steps) and one difficulty for double (club, earlier known as dual mode).

The Hidden Codes stay the same as on the previous version, so no need to learn new codes for speed modification or random steps.

all the information is taken from the official website at EZ2Dance.com

There is a new community around this game and they are making videos and comments ^_^. I’m happy that this game is not dead yet.

Note: for some basic info or videos you can check my site DS 3DDX 2

Well, today was my second day trying to solve the riddles on http://mg-impact.fr/bemanifacile
This time I was trying to solve some of the Special group ones. One of them was:

There was an image with an asterix, 2547 and a png picture. There was also written ab urbe condita. So I was wondering what the hell they want me to find out. Well, I got it. I found out what means Ab Urbe Condita and I found the word which should be standing in front of the 2547 (instead of the asterix). I got to a new picture by writing [the word].png into the address bar . It showed me a picture. There were all characters from IIDX ….o_O I was like WTF?? But after some time I found the answer and I was happy for it. Just go and try it out, hehe.

I solved several other puzzles of the same genre but still it wasn’t enough to get to the fifth place. hehe^_^

At “Anime and Dance weekend” convention I found that someone forgot his PS2 games in PS2 room. I looked through the DVDs and I found that the person got Drummania and Guitar Freaks V2. So I took the DVD and tried it on my PS2. I found out that it works so I copied the disc.

At home we burned the DVD and put it into my PS2. I have no Guitar Freaks nor Drummania controller so we started thinking what controller should we use - Dance pad, gamepad, Pop’n Music controller, beatmania iidx controller etc. After some time we decided to use the BeatMania IIDX controller.

After some failed attemps we managed to map the controller for Guitar Freaks. So we took the controller - fingers on the black keys, right hand “picking” on a white key… - and played. I have to say that the first songs were easy but later we found out that the hand holding the KOC as it would be a guitar starts to hurt a lot.

So we switched to Drummania but it’s not that fun playing it on a KOC.

here’s the video => GuitarFreaks with IIDX KOC

MG-Impact a new BEMANI community in France prepared us a new version of their BEMANI riddles.
There are four types - DDR related, BEMANI related, Mixes and Special.

The first two ones are riddles about DDR or other BEMANI games. In Mixes you have to download a mp3 file and recognize all of DDR, BeatMania or Pop’n Music songs. And finally there is special where you have to use some other programs to actually finish the riddle.

Sometimes the questions are easy. For example there is a picture of KONAMI log and underneath is written “the code”. You only have to enter the KONAMI code. Or you have 21 [japanese character] FAST. You are supposed to rewrite the FAST to the right BPM and I guess everyone knows that^_^. This was really fun.

There was one really difficult one^_^. There is writen AROHI and a slowed and maybe reversed audio can be heard. When you finally find the name of the song you find out that the song name is not supposed to be written in English but in Japanese. So you can continue looking for the name in Japanese …it was fun to find this one out. I really ran the game to find both the song and its Japanese name.

There are even more hardcore tasks. Recognizing songs from a mixture of mp3 is quite fine, but recognizing a song from one key sound is HARDCORE for me. (speaking about BeatMania IIDX key sounds) or there is a crossword which is pretty difficult…and you have to fill in all the letters in there!

And finally the address for those who speak at least a little bit of French.

http://www.mg-impact.fr/bemanifacile/

And RESPECT for those who created BEMANIfacile.

I played Fever today again and I decided to try some Expert Songs or more difficult songs on Hyper. I first chose Gradius and Afronova Primeval to see if I can clear those songs on Hyper and I did with quite a nice score.

After this I tried other 29 level songs and tried some 30, 31 and 32 level songs as well. I have to say that there were quite long and fast streams which I managed somehow (I missed a lot of notes but still got enough energy to clear the song).

After that I decided to try some of the easiest Expert songs and I cleared them! I will have to try the same in Iroha and Carnival to see if I can manage the same difficulties there.

Also I switched to playing with Beatmania noteskin. It’s more readable and it’s not that eye straining.

I got Pop’n Music Fever and now I spent some time unlocking the songs. I don’t like the new songs available at the beginning except a few, but with the unlocks it gets better and there are several DDR songs as well^_~. Most songs come from beatmania as usual^_^.

The look is not the best for me. I prefered PNM Iroha and Carnival was not that bad either. I don’t like PNM 11 and this Fever looks quite wierd for me.

The unlock system is more like “see what the game can do and try it”. You also get points for songs cleared and you can buy new songs for those points. But most songs will be unlocked via this mission mode which has two difficulties - Easy and Hard (hard is quite hard)…

Anyway, if anyone interested in the unlock missions on easy I can share them with you. For the time being I made it to the fourth chapter. I will try to finish it later (tomorrow).

The missions are here => stsung.naota3k.com/txt/pnm.txt

Today we went to Fantasy Park to play Percussion Master.

After joining the game I saw that the game was played by Czech people from our DDR community so I had scores to break^_^.

But still there rest scores from some Taiwanese people so we have more scores to brake. Today my challenge was not to Full Great a song but to do this three times in a row and get as many Fever hits as I could (my maximum today was 124 o_O)

After the first credit I got one Perfect and two Bravos. That means that you got all Greats (the highest note evaluation) and for perfect you got a 25% bonus. For Bravo you get just 15% bonus. So usually for the first song you get most points. But still my high score was far from the first one…

Second, third credit and I got the twice the First Place! That means that I’m the Percussion Master now! ^_^

Yesterday, Fantasy Park bowling and arcades got a new machine. We couldn’t believe what the machine looked liked. It seemed to be Taiko no Tatsujin but different.

Day after we went to the arcades to see the machine for ourselves. We came there and saw the nice shiny new arcade called Percussion Master. We came closer and I realized that it is really a clone of Taiko no Tatsujin. So we gave it a try.

At first it was quite easy for us. But later on when we played 12-14 star level songs on versus we found out that it’s not that easy as it seemed. There are three drums but six possibilities of hitting them. Sometimes it got too chaotic for us and we got lost.

Anyway the game is fun but I prefer Drummania over this game. It’s more challenging and more like BeatMania IIDX. ^_^

This day was my lucky day. I went to The Netherlands to Vlissingen. There is one arcades called De Carrousel, known for having several music games arcades. One of those machines was also a clone of Drummania.

I already played here Drummania before but I had no idea how to set speed mods or even how to hold the sticks not to hurt my hands.

When I came to the machine I saw someone playing some crazy difficult song (level 80 or something?). It seemed really impossible for me to clear. He saw me standing there and invited me for a game. I said ok…but I will have to play something easier.

He put there some level ten song and everything was quite ok for me (as I already played the game before and I was capable hitting the drums. the problems was that I was quite offsync). Next he chose a song of level 20 and I also cleared that. For the last two stages he put there some 40 level songs and put a higher speed mod there. I stared at him saying “I CAN’T clear that, are you crazy?”. He said “you can clear that” and started the game for me. So I tried…

And you know what? I cleared both songs with a grade E. But I cleared them. I continued on for another two credits, but then I had to stop as I found out that I have eight nasty blisters on my hands. I also tore them in the process of playing this “dangerous” game so I switched back to playing 3DDX and DDR.
