I played Beatmania (US) today for like 20 minutes today, and the results were 1: I realized again how much beatmania US sucks, and 2: not much improvement, if any.

However, later, I played some 10th style, and I started out sucking horribly, not beating any scores. However, I then experimented withi dropping all of the hi-speeds significantly (by like 2 levels) and using a bunch of towel. This worked REALLY well, and I managed to raise a bunch of scores significantly (Ixion [a] +200 or so), and even cleared a new 10 (Zero-One). So, I’ll continue to use this technique on the other styles (although I dunno how I’m going to do 6th _>).

It’s as if I never even took a 3 month break in the first place. All of my skills are exactly where I left off, in that I got a couple more AAAs but was unable to pass any new 10s or 11s on Happy Sky (I freaking hate that Cashless Tissue song).

One thing that happened though was that I found my old high speeds to be much faster than I could read. It didn’t really affect my scores, but yeah.

So. Another blog, eh?

I’ll use this site to track IIDX progress, I guess, because I’m finally ready to get back into it again (free time! :D). So… yeah. Not much to say here, but more wil come later.
