A local arcade near me has closed down, one I used to work at even. Turns out they weren’t making enough money. And I know its because they didn’t have BEATMANIA lol. Only thing worth playing there was MvC, DDR Extreme, Tekken 5 if you can even like that game, and one machine where you could get like 750 tickets for 50 cents if you master it (Alterac Valley is to Honor as this game was to tickets). I wish American arcades were more like Japanese arcades, like more Bemani (and no, not US ports but the original. Perhaps if language was localized, but keeping the music the same). Get those little kids off stupid ticket games no one plays or old FPS games that died off 10 years ago and get em AAAing Mei Another at 9 years old (granted they keep the stepstools so they can play the game). More racing games would be nice too (Mario Kart arcade would be nice, I played it at a movie theater with my sister, we had a blast even if my Item button was broken [I still got first place]).
