Woo! First Post.

Well since my other blog on Blogger went down I guess I’ll use this place to start posting all the wonderful things going on in my life. Let me start by saying that I have one more hyper 10 left to pass on Happy Sky CS! I’m pretty happy about that and tomorrow I’ll be attempting to pass it. It’s Double Thrash by 414 and apparently it’s not too tough, but it’ll probably take me a while to get it any way.

In future news, I should be attending a lock-in at Aladdin’s Castle in the Acadiana Mall Saturday to hopefully play 3 whole hours of IIDX greatness and maybe play some Stacker even though that game sure does like to mock me when I get to the very top and miss the last block. :( Oh well. I’m also trying to think of a place to go for summer vacation. I’d love to go to Arcade Infinity in California and give that IIDX Gold AC machine a try since I’ve never even seen a IIDX machine in person, but I doubt that’ll happen, so I’ll just think of a place to go full of tourist traps and the like. If I’m lucky, maybe I can find a machine where ever I happen to go. Oh well, I have nothing else to post, so ’till next time.

An arcade lock in?! Where do you live…? I need to go to something like this, haha

I live in Louisiana in Lafayette. Every Saturday at the Acadiana Mall, Aladdin’s Castle has a lock-in. 10 bucks to get in and all that machines (except the redemption ones) are on free play including the SuperNOVA dedicab.

Wow…I’m really jealous. We have like, NOTHING in my hometown. 10 bucks for an all night arcade extravaganza? The only thing I could see sucking would be all the younger kids being retarded…haha

Speaking of which, one kid almost busted his head open on the last lock-in. The lock-ins aren’t very long, though. 3 hours on regular nights and sometimes they have what they call a “Special” lock-in that lasts 5 hours instead. The hours are 10-1 or 10-3. They’re pretty fun, but yeah, the kids can some times be the down fall. Where do you live anyway?

Go figure someone hurts themselves…And it’s too bad the lock-in isn’t all night. That would be INCREDIBLE! Haha – and I live in IL, about 30 minutes south of Chicago. I live reasonably close the Brunswick Zone that the IIDX Gold test location was. I totally went over my spring break, lol. Thankfully, Purdue’s spring break isn’t really around too many other breaks, so I got a LOT of playtime. It also helped that I play right scratch, so that upped my time as well! J

Dave and Buster’s is pretty close to my house, too, but seeing as my 21st isn’t until October, I have to usually go with my parents still, unless someone of age goes with. Sucks, I know.

I read Lafayette in your post and thought you meant Indiana at first, since that’s were Purdue is, in West Lafayette.

Wow you’re so lucky! Haha. I never got to play on an arcade machine before but god I want to so bad. I want to try all the Bemani series on Arcade besides DDR since that seems to be the most plentiful in the States. :( Yeah I knew there was Lafayette in IL, too, but I found that out on accident trying to find my own home on Google Maps and I got redirected to Illinois. Oh well. I have a friend who’s going to Arcade Infinity in California to test out IIDX Gold. Are you going to that too?

West Lafayette, Indiana for Purdue by the way…lol.

As for IIDX Gold…Holy shit was it awesome, haha. I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing it felt to play on an arcade machine!!! That’s why I ordered the Desktop Arcade controller actually.

And I could never make it out to Cali, let alone justify the expense solely for a IIDX arcade explosion. But I would TOTALLY love to!

You guys make me dream about IIDX Gold. The only BeatMania machine I played on was some Core Remix whatever machine which sucked badly. It was like some random noise coming from the machine and nothing else. And remembering to hit the effector button to get a hi-speed was a torture…I always forgot!

Oh man playing for free for ten bucks somewhere that would be nice…*dreamy*. But anyway I would be happy if a machine closer than 5 hours away from me would be here. DDR Extreme or ITG2 Dedicab would be nice (and of course IIDX but that’s like dream^2)
