81. Have you ever played a song so much it ended up in the ranking courses?
A: Nope, not yet. That always happens in Pop’n Music, instead. I play certain song so much it ends at the ‘Favourites’ top.

82. Do you find yourself playing the silver and bronze courses more than the platinum and gold?
A: Woah, that’s actually pretty old. No, not yet, needs moar practice.

83. Without the gallery, there would be nothing to do.
A: Not true. There’s a lot to do more than just getting results. Clearing hard songs, get better, enjoy the music, those little details you find on a game while you’re playing it. It’s all about perception, really, and about having the capacity of enjoying a game by itself and not because of what you get as a result of your ‘good job’.

84. Do your shoulders and hips get stiff after playing?
A: Mostly my shoulders. My hips are always comfortable in the bed (:.

85. Have you gotten someone hooked, or did someone else get YOU hooked?
A: Few friends from my high school, because of the characters and the music, and who hooked me? My cousin Ebisu.

86. Have you ever played when you knew you shouldn’t for some other consideration (like time, or money)?
A: Hi, I’m Asato and I have University early in the morning, it’s 3am and I’m still playing.

87. Does passing a song only once count, or do you have to be able to pass it consistently?
A: Being able to always clear it. It may have been luck the first time, clearing just one time doesn’t mean you passed it ;).

A: It’s a bad behavior, but it’s always usefull.

A. Never an AC, but CS… well, honestly… I try them few days before the official release.

A: Two friends and my cousin.

A: Enjoy the game, feel how the fingers dance in the pad, enjoy the music, videos…

A: The whole new music I found, genres, artists, people, everything :). IIDX Is full of awesomeness.

A: Tottaly opposite. There were questions that made me understand more therms and thecnisisms about the game.

98. What is your current, most immediate “goal” with regards to IIDX?
A: Clear 9-10 [H] songs easily. And maybe send a letter to KONMAI giving thanks for this awesome game.

A: Uh… I don’t know, really.

A. Whew! At least is over!! 100 questions were so much, that’s why I divided them in 5 parts, because I didn’t want to answer them with monosylabes. For me, it’s always fun to read other’s answers but anyway :). I really wanted to fill this now, because I feel like I’ve improved so much in the game, and now I feel a little bit more of ‘authority’ to answer it. Thanks for all the ones who’d helped me improving in the game, my friends, family, dog, cat, grandma, GOLI, L.E.D and stuff. Enough blahblah, now, let’s continue updating this blog with ’serious stuff’ like reports about KONAMI (KONMAI LOL) artist :).

61. Have you ever shouted at someone browsing the gallery or scores on an arcade machine in a game center?
A: If only we had a game center with IIDX arcades… anyway. Honestly, it makes me kinda happy to don’t have. Kinda elitist, so what.

62. Do you ever adopt weird posture sitting at an arcade machine? (Like crossing your legs, or hunching over the buttons … )
A: Nope, I always play sitted down.

63. Was the addition of LIGHT mode the beginning of a new era?
A: Definitely. Adding a new difficult to a game is always a big change, and mostly if we’re talking about using-parts-of-your-body games like BEMANIS.

64. Are you left handed or right handed?
A: Right handed.

65. What side do you play on?
A: Depends, but I guess left.

66. Can you play on the other side (without autoscratch)?
A: Don’t know, but I can try since you can change the controller from right handed to left handed (:.

67. Do you use your little finger?
A: At the end, you always have to, unless you’re a one handed player. In my case, I do… sometimes.

A: I follow Tsu-chan’s answers and say 537 Style.

A: How about a nice cup of STFU? >_> I can’t pass any of them in [A] yet!

A: Maths have never been my strong, but I guess it would be more like 20:1. IMHO.

71. When did you have the impression of having improved the most?
A: After DistorteD CS came out.

72. When did you have the impression of having gotten worst?
A: BEFORE DistorteD CS came out! No, really, I was an average player at that moment. I couldn’t pass BLOCKS [H] decently.

73. How do you deal with getting out of a slump?
A: Stop playing, maybe play something else (currently Odin Sphere) and then start playing again.

74. Which effectors do you usually use?
A: None really but I like the ‘Surround’ and ‘Echo’ families.

75. Do you ever feel crowded when you’re playing with someone else?
A: Not really. It’s hard to feel crowded when the max. of people in your home is 5.

76. Have you ever done session mode? (If you have, do you wish they’d bring it back?)
A: That would be awesome!! And yeah, I wish they’d bring it back!!

A: Two Dee Ecks.

A: No, but would love have one (:.

A: Whenever I can, I buy them. I already own couple of them, why not collecting? (:.

A: Discover the fact I have five fingers, all independent of each other, per hand instead of three :D.

41. Are there any songs you think have a wrong star rating?
A: ‘PHOTONGENIC’, since it’s harder than 7, ‘LOVE♥SHINE’, ‘BLOCKS’, ‘DUE TOMORROW’, for telling some, IMHO.

42. What song (like 5.1.1.) do you think is insanely different between its normal and another versions?
A: Insanely? Maybe ‘murmur twins’ and ‘Zenius -I- vanisher’.

43. Have you been to a convention?
A: Playing IIDX? Nope, but I’ve been in conventions.

44. Have you placed on Internet Ranking?
A: Not really, I think it’ll take time to get there. And a lot of practice.

45. Pay much attention to the movies? Which ones are your favorite?
A: Depends if there’s movie or just flying-crazy CGs but yeah, I always pay too much attention to them. Blame my drawing/ilustration fixation. My favourites are mostly, GOLI videos, since he’s one of my greatest inspirations, like ‘DoLL’, ‘EDEN’, ‘EMPTY OF THE SKY’, ‘零 -ZERO-’ and why not, his old CG movies like ‘RISLIM’, ‘one or eight’, ‘YESTERDAY’, ‘Free Style’, ‘SOLID GOLD’, ‘Happy Wedding’, and the list goes on!

46. What song were you happiest to have cleared?
A: For now, ‘HORIZON’ [H]. I was so happy when I cleared it, it was like the beggining of a new era of DJing for me.

47. What score were you happiest to get?
A: Don’t remember, but the AA’s I’ve got, no matter I’ve got them on LIGHT 7/NORMAL always make me feel good (:. Full Combo is always Full Combo.

48. What’s the most mortifying song fail you’ve had?
A: ‘PHOTONGENIC’ [H] and… ‘Ganymede’ [N].

49. How many play cards do you have? Which ones?
A: Do scans count? No, actually I don’t have cards, but I plan to get some if I go to US this summer/winter.

50. Do you want skill points, like in GF/DM?
A: That would be interesting, really. You can read more of ‘Skill Points’ on this website :).

51. Have you ever done anything painful, like jam a finger while playing, or catch your fingernail in the gap between the button and its frame?
A: Catch my nail, all the time. That’s why I clip them ofenly. Besides, they hurt when they claw when I draw, so I have two reasons for having short nails most of time (I also don’t really know how to take care of them, and having long dirty nails is just nasty).

52. Does it help your score to have something tapping out the beat in the background, like someone clapping?
A: No. When I play, I like to be… in depth with what I do. It may sound gay, but I like to be one with the song I play, feel how I press the keys, how my finges dance in the controller, and stuff.

53. How many people does it take around a cabinet before you start forming a line?
A: Don’t know. There aren’t cabinets here in Chile, but I guess like 7 or 8.

54. Do you have a “theme song”?
A: Ahaha haven’t choosed one yet, but I’m between ‘with you···’ and ‘Look To The Sky (cyber True Color)’.

55. What’s your grade on Gambol?
A: Gambol?! That new Slake song featuring in RED?!?!?!1 Nah, I haven’t played it. Tell ya later.

56. Have you ever failed because you thought a song was over before it was?
A: Digital MinD (A/T Libra mix) [H], got distracted by the video, but didn’t fail.

57. Any songs you wish Konami would bring back?
A: Any chances Konami could license few Dancemania songs for IIDX? Like ‘そこにあるかも知れない・・・’?

A: I guess so.

A: Money? I play for free in my home, thanks god.

A: Ocassionaly, and maybe it always happens when the song is over and I want to choose ‘Continue’, and then I turn the turntable and get ‘Exit’

A: Thanks lord no.

29. Have you ever meant to play a song Another but selected Light? Have you ever done the opposite?
A: Nope. Not for now.

A: Nope. Just accidentaly forget to turn off ‘HARD’ few times.

A: I like this.

A: Normal 7 Keys.

A: Right now, I think is ‘with you···’ since the chart is easy and the song is good. And no expert courses.

A: Once per day. Like one hour is okay I guess. When I have time I can play more, but right now my studies consume me like woah.

37. Ever wish you had another finger (or hand)? Or been able to see out your fingers? Or are you fine the way you are?
A: I wish my hands were more strong. Sometimes I feel like they don’t have enough energy to clear harder songs, but I guess that’s more a training thing, get used to clear harder songs.

38. Can you live without paper?
A: Uh?! Is this some kind of random question out of topic?

39. There seem to be an unusual number of one-handed players recently. Do you play one-handed? If so, what level do you play at?
A: Which unusual number of one-handed players? What I’ve seen is an unusual number of new players! But well, no, I don’t play one-handed, and if I do, they must be LIGHT7/NORMAL songs.

40. Are there too many insanely hard doubles songs?
A: The first songs that pop in my mind, right now are ‘嘆きの樹’ and ‘冥’. I don’t put any other song because, with a good HI-SPEED modificator, it’s easy to clear them (like ‘Ganymede’), or maybe with a lot of training (’CONTRACT’s case). But ‘冥’ is like… impossible.

A: ASATO. I don’t freakin’ care there’s already an Asato on DDCS.

A: Female, liek woah.

4. Where do you usually play? Is it usually crowded?
A: At home, and well, is usually crowded because I live with a lot of people. Sometimes all of’em are in my room (the place in where I game, ta-da), and 5 people in a not-so-small room… well. it looks filled anyway.

5. What date did you start playing IIDX?
A: Honestly I started like one year ago. Maybe two. But just now I started paying more attention to the game since my cousin Ebisu is living with me and lends me his controller :) those are pretty rare and expensive here, and there’s no fuckin’ way I’ll get one for me for now.

6. Your current level is …
A: 7KEYS/HYPER

7. Are you an arcade player or a CS player?
A: CS Player. There’re no IIDX arcades in my country, and just once I found a ‘hiphopmania’ arcade. I think it was 4th style, don’t remember. The thing is that’s the only original arcade I’ve seen without counting the DDRs.

8. Do you play single play? Double play? Do you play primarily one-handed?
A: Single play and don’t think to double play until I get another controller. I tried one-hand playing once, but it hurts so much to leave all the hard job to just one hand.

9. What’s more important to you? Clearing hard songs or getting high EX score?
A: For now, and honestly, clearing hard songs. I don’t care much about the scores.

10. What made you start playing IIDX?
A: GOLI arts! And the awesome songs I heard like ‘Last Message’, ‘Blame’, ‘Drivin”, ‘Spin The Disc’, ‘rislim’, ‘Ultra High Heels’, and the list goes on!! (:

A: Mostly the dark-themed ones but for now my favourite is RED. And a song for each style:

16. Is using the EASY mod cheating?
A: I don’t think is cheating, since, when you start playing is hard to get used to the controller. I remember, when I started playing, my fingers even hurted because of hitting the keys, and maybe, if only I had used EASY mod, I wouldn’t have ’suffered’ much. Anyway, I never used it and now I play enough well to clear HYPER 9 songs (:.

17. What high speed level do you play at?
A: AS FAST AS I CAN. No, not really, depends of the song. I refuse to play ‘DUE TOMORROW’ with 5.0 (which is the highest you can play actually).

18. Ever died an instant death cause a fast song came on in a ranking course while you were on HS3?
A: I don’t really play courses, honestly. Free and Standart are my thing.

19. What do you think of autoscratch?
A: Very usefull when you feel lazy and when your fingers start hurting like woah (:

20. Do you rush to build your combo back if you break it?
A: Sometimes, only if I’m not too focused on clearing the song, for instance.
