‹ Amazon.com, how ye know me •
A couple of weeks ago, someone on BMS offered to sell me DDR:SNJP at a reasonable price. I was interested, but told him that if I made the purchase I would need to have him hold the game for upwards of two weeks while I relocated. I offered to go ahead and pay him when we closed the deal in case he didn’t want to wait for his money.
He said this was no problem and cashed my check. 2.5 weeks later, he posted in my thread saying, “Dude, I guess you dont want your game… If you dont reply back, I will ship it to the old address.”
Why do people agree to terms they have no intention of following through on? I blame the EULA, myself - people have learned that they can sign a huge contract and then get out of it later by claiming they didn’t read the whole thing and it wasn’t fair to expect them to. Naturally this leads via slippery slope to people refusing to read a two-line disclaimer repeated three times in prominent positions.
Naturally.
